CDC German Language Courses

Are you interested in improving your German language skills for educational or professional purposes? Why not take a language course at one of the Carl Duisberg Centers - amongst other locations - in Berlin, Munich, Cologne, Saarbrüken, Dortmund or Radolfzell/Lake Constance in Germany?

The Carl Duisberg Centren (CDC) are closely affiliated with our German partner, the Carl Duisberg Gesellschaft (CDG). The CDC offer intensive German language training, customized to each participant's needs, at reasonable prices. The course offerings include year-round intensive classes, instruction in business or technical German, one-on-one instruction, preparation for university admission, summer courses, programs for teens or seniors, as well as teacher seminars. Participants are housed in guesthouses or with German host families, providing an additional opportunity to experience German language and culture.

Please note that for those individuals who participate in CDS International programs (e.g., the Internship Program or the Independent Work Abroad program) and need to take a language course, a limited number of stipends are available every year for language courses at the CDC.

Goethe Institut in North America

The Goethe-Institut Inter Nationes is a non-profit organization with 126 institutes in 76 countries. Its task is to promote the German language and to foster international cultural cooperation. The head office is located in Munich, Germany. The institute in New York functions as the regional institute for the United States and Canada coordinating the work of nine institutes in this region. The Goethe-Institut Inter Nationes New York organizes and supports a wide range of international cultural exchange programs in close cooperation with partners and institutions in both the host countries and in Germany.
