You can learn a lot about yourself, your home country, and your host country. We want to know: How do you see the United States?
What to Enter
Here’s a chance to creatively express your thoughts, feelings, and impressions of the United States by capturing images of the America you experienced. Share with CDS International who you think Americans are and what the United States means to you. You may cover topics from American politics, people or culture to the company where you trained or the town where you lived. The competition is designed to give you complete freedom of expression in creating and designing your submission. Be artistic, inventive, and imaginative – this is your competition to win!
Submit a titled photo essay comprised of 10 to 20 photos with photo titles and a brief 100-word description explaining the America you experienced in English.
What You Can Win
- The 1st place winner will receive a US$1,000 travel voucher from STA Travel good for international travel on STA flights.
- The 2nd place winner will receive a new digital camera worth US$500.
- The 3rd place winner will receive an iPod nano.
Who May Participate
All inbound CDS participants on the J-1 Visitor Exchange Program completing a minimum of 3 months of training between January 1, 2007, and December 31, 2007.
How to Participate
All photos, titles, and your description must be copied on a CD-R disc and mailed to:

Please submit photos as jpeg, gif, or tif file formats only. Photos at 300 dpi are preferred. Please do not send PowerPoint presentations.
Submission deadline
All submissions must be received at CDS International by no later than December 31, 2007.
