SCHOTT Summer Internship Program in Germany

Program Eligibility

Candidates for the SCHOTT Summer Internship Program in Germany must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • U.S. citizen, Canadian citizen enrolled at accredited U.S. or Canadian college or university, or non-U.S. citizen enrolled at an accredited U.S. college or university
  • Enrolled before, during, and after the program at an accredited college or university. U.S. citizens graduating in May 2010 are also eligible.
  • 18-30 years of age
  • One year of post-secondary instruction in German or the equivalent (extra language training is available, if needed)
  • Minimum of three years of university level studies in one of the following fields:
    • Business: marketing, HR, business development
    • Technical Fields: chemical-, electrical- and mechanical engineering, production optimization
    • Sciences: Physical Science, Chemistry, Physics
  • Practical experience in desired field (summer employment, prior internship, lab position, etc.) does not need to be extensive, but is preferred. Travel experience is also desired. Individuals should also possess interpersonal skills such as, but not limited to, self-initiative, intercultural awareness, ability to work in a team and a demonstrated interest in SCHOTT.
