SCHOTT Summer Internship Program in Germany
Program Overview
The SCHOTT Summer Internship Program in Germany provides an excellent opportunity for college and university students to gain international work experience at SCHOTT AG in Germany, improve their German language skills, and experience German culture firsthand. Internship placements at SCHOTT are available in business development, marketing, HR, engineering, production optimization and physical sciences. Internships are three months and begin in May each year. In some cases, participants may complete a four-month internship. All internships at SCHOTT are compensated and include free housing.

Program Highlights
CDS places participants in internships at SCHOTT customized to their field of interest.
CDS and SCHOTT offer:
- Assistance during the application process including help drafting a Lebenslauf (German resume)
- Pre-departure information mailing
- Health and accident insurance (optional)
- Work authorization services
- Paid internship placement in target field (participants receive EUR 300 per month)
- Free housing
- Cultural immersion/orientation upon arrival in Germany
- One-day introductory seminar in Mainz and an evaluation seminar organized by SCHOTT
- Support throughout the program in Germany and the U.S.
- Re-entry information about marketing work experience abroad in the U.S.

Applications and supporting materials must be postmarked or submitted online by January 15, 2010.
