Independent Work Abroad Program in Switzerland
Program Eligibility
Candidates for the Independent Work Abroad Program in Switzerland must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- U.S. citizen
- 18–30 years of age
- Knowledge of German, French, or Italian (your host company will determine which languages are necessary)
- Degree from an accredited college or university
- Work experience in a related field (your host company will determine what is sufficient)
It is our mission to promote international career development. Thus, CDS will only support quality internships that match your educational background/ professional field. Service jobs such as waiting tables, retail sales, etc., part-time positions and freelancing do not meet our requirements and thus, no work authorization can be issued. Please note that the Independent Work Abroad Program is not a work/travel program.
