College of Charleston’s Summer Internship Program in Germany

CDS Services and Fees

CDS provides:

• Assistance during the application process including help drafting a Lebenslauf (German resume)
• Pre-departure orientation and mailing
• International flight arrangements (optional)
• Financial assistance through the CDS International Scholarship Fund (must apply separately)
• Health and accident insurance (optional)
• Work Authorization services
• Enrollment in language course (including housing)
• Internship placement in your target field with a German host company
• Housing assistance
• Support throughout the program in Germany and the U.S.
• Re-entry information about marketing your work experience abroad in the U.S.

CDS is proud to say that our fees for internship placements are among the lowest in our field and we are dedicated to remaining an affordable option for young adults to go abroad. The total fee for this program is $3,700. A check made out to the College of Charleston in the amount of $700 must be submitted with your application. We will not consider applications until the $700 fee has been received. The remaining fee of $3,000 must be paid to the Office of International Education and Programs by March 5, 2010.
