Transatlantic Renewable Energy Exchange Study Tour
The Transatlantic Renewable Energy Exchange Study Tours in Germany (TREE) allow students at U.S. colleges and universities, as well as recent graduates, to spend six days discovering the cutting-edge technologies, best practices, and innovative public policies keeping Germany and its companies at the forefront of the renewable energy movement. Both tours will take place June 6–12, 2010. One tour will focus on technical aspects and is designed for engineers and scientists. The other tour will focus on public policy and planning and is best suited to students and graduates of environmental studies, public policy and regional planning.
You will begin the program in Berlin where you will receive an introduction to the policies that launched Germany’s renewable energy success. You will then meet with corporate and government representatives to see key installations and agencies in solar, wind, and biomass.
