Stevens Institute of Technology Study Tour

Overview

Since 2003, CDS has organized four study tours for the students at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey. Stevens Institute of Technology creates new knowledge and educates and inspires students to acquire the competencies needed to lead in scientific discovery and in the creation, application and management of technology to solve complex problems and to build new enterprises. The 10-day study tours offered Stevens students an insight into germany’s business and culture.

Itinerary

Munich, Germany
March 10: Arrival followed by a city walking tour and an evening at the Hofbräuhaus

Füssen, Germany
March 11: Tour of the Neuschwanstein Castle including a group lunch

Cologne, Germany
December 5: Visit to Hans-Böckler Berufskolleg and the Butzweiler Hof Vocational Training Center followed by an evening cultural event

Regensburg, Germany
March 12: Company visit at BMW followed by a walking tour of Regensburg

Bayreuth, Germany
March 13: Company visit to adidas AG and site visit to Bayreuth City Public Works facility followed by a group dinner

Neutstadt, Germany
March 14: Company visits to F.X. Nachtmann and UNION

Dresden, Germany
March 15: Company visit to Volkswagen’s “Transparent Factory” followed by a brewery tour and tasting

Berlin, Germany
March 16–17: Site visits to the Technical University Berlin, Bundestag (German parliament), and Checkpoint Charlie

Berlin, Germany
March 18: Departure to the United States
