American’s Abroad:
Request an absentee voting ballot for the
2008 Presidential Election in November
If you are an American Participant of a CDS International program who is or will be abroad this November 2008, please read the following information on voting absentee:
- Go to the Federal Voting Assistance Program website at: www.fvap.gov
- Follow the instructions under “I am a citizen living outside the U.S.”
You will be able to do the following:
- Register to vote & request an absentee ballot
- Complete a back-up request if you do not receive your ballot 2 weeks prior to the election
- Find your election official’s mailing address
You must register and request your absentee ballot no later than Wednesday, September 24th, 2008, in order to guarantee ample time to receive your absentee ballot.
