About the Scholarship Fund

The CDS International Scholarship Fund plays a vital role in developing a diverse and globally competent workforce. Through our internship abroad programs, supported by the CDS International Scholarship Fund, we are helping to meet a growing demand for individuals who possess the skills necessary for success in a globally oriented society. These skills include proficiency in a foreign language, the ability to work in an intercultural environment, knowledge of differing business practices, and the ability to successfully face challenges and solve problems.

The CDS Scholarship Fund is an important source of financial aid for young Americans participating in unpaid internships. The scholarship stipends help offset the costs of living abroad and often fund international travel, rent, or language courses that would otherwise not be possible.

Since the scholarship fund was established in 1998, over 250 Americans have received the financial support needed to participate in a CDS internship abroad. Thanks to the support of CDS board members, friends, partners and alumni, the permanent endowment for the CDS International Scholarship Fund has grown to over $1,000,000.
